Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• the iOS App Sudoku (Bundle ID: com.orangestudio.sudoku.ios);
• premium subscriptions and one-time purchases offered through the App (Monthly Premium, Yearly Premium, and Lifetime Premium);
• product analytics integrated to understand feature usage and improve the App (Google Firebase Analytics).

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites or services reached through external links.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information generated or stored while you use the App

The App is designed around on-device storage. The following data is stored locally by default:

We do not upload the gameplay, statistics, or settings data above to our own servers. Except for Apple system services (such as App Store purchases) and the product analytics described below, this data does not leave your device.

2.2 Information processed by Apple

The following is processed directly by Apple Inc. and is subject to Apple's privacy policy:

• App Store purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and restore purchases;
• Apple ID authentication;
• rating prompts if you choose to review the App on the App Store.

2.3 Feedback

If you send feedback by email, the content you provide (and information your mail client may attach, such as device model, OS version, and app version) is sent to orangepie2019@gmail.com and used only to handle your inquiry.

2.4 Analytics information (Firebase Analytics)

To understand feature usage and improve the product experience, the App integrates Google Firebase Analytics (using the Analytics component that does not collect the advertising identifier IDFA).

We may collect and process the following de-identified or pseudonymous usage and device-related information:

• Screen / feature views (for example home, game, settings, Premium);
• Button activity (for example start game, share, rate, feedback, plan selection, purchase, restore);
• In-app purchase events: purchase start, success, cancel, fail or pending, and restore results; parameters include plan identifier, product identifier, amount, and currency only — not shared text, email, or Apple ID;
• Share activity: content type and share channel only; not the shared text or files;
• App and device technical information collected by the Firebase SDK (app version, device model, OS version, language/region, app instance identifiers).

We do not collect IDFA through the App, and we do not use analytics data for cross-app advertising targeting. The App does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.

This analytics data is processed by Google LLC (and its affiliates) on our behalf and is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Firebase Data Processing and Security Terms. Google may store and process such data on its global infrastructure.

2.5 Information we do not collect

The App does not:

• require an account or collect real-name information such as name, phone number, or ID numbers;
• integrate third-party advertising or ad-tracking SDKs;
• collect IDFA for advertising targeting or request tracking permission;
• sell your personal information;
• use personal data for purposes unrelated to the App without your knowledge.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information described above only to:

• provide core puzzle features such as classic Sudoku, daily challenges, hints, notes, and undo;
• save and restore your game progress and statistics;
• verify premium entitlements and unlock corresponding features (such as unlimited hints and premium themes);
• understand feature usage, purchase conversion, and product performance to improve the App;
• respond to support requests;
• comply with applicable laws.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

Except in the following cases, we do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information:

1. With your explicit consent;
2. Apple system services, to complete purchases and subscription verification, processed on Apple's infrastructure;
3. Google Firebase, for product analytics (screen views, button events, purchase results, share channels), subject to Google's privacy policy;
4. Legal requirements, to comply with laws, court orders, or lawful government requests;
5. Protection of rights, where reasonably necessary to protect us, users, or the public.

5. Storage and Security

• Game progress, statistics, and settings are stored primarily on your iOS device;
• Analytics data is processed on Google's infrastructure;
• We apply commonly used security practices to in-app data handling.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please keep your Apple ID password safe and protect your device physically.

6. Retention

• Local data remains on your device until you uninstall the App or clear app data; uninstalling deletes local data.
• Feedback emails are retained for a reasonable period after we handle them, or as required by law.
• Analytics data is retained according to Google Firebase default retention and console settings; after uninstall, the device generally stops sending new events.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on the laws of your region, you may have the following rights:

• Access and correction: view and change most preferences in Settings and Game Settings;
• Deletion: reset statistics in the App; uninstalling deletes local games and progress;
• Subscription management: manage or cancel auto-renewal in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions;
• Limiting analytics: restrict background activity or network access in system settings; after uninstall, the device generally stops sending new analytics events;
• Contact us: email orangepie2019@gmail.com for privacy requests, including help deleting analytics-related data (aggregated data may not be linkable to an individual).

We will respond to requests within a reasonable time.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. International Transfers

If you use Apple services or Google Firebase Analytics, related data may be processed on Apple's or Google's global infrastructure. By using the App, you understand that such processing may involve cross-border transfers and is subject to the applicable terms and privacy policies.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you in the App or by other reasonable means. The updated policy takes effect when published; continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
