How to play Cagely
Cagely is a cage-math logic puzzle, the kind of arithmetic grid also called Calcudoku or Mathdoku. Fill every cell so the digits follow one rule across the board, then make each outlined cage hit its target. The path through a board is deduction, not guessing.
-
1
Latin Square Constraint
On an n×n board, place digits 1–n so no digit repeats in any row or column. That single constraint is the backbone of every Cagely grid.
-
2
Cage Calculations
The board is split into cages. Numbers inside a cage combine with the shown +, −, ×, or ÷ rule until they match the printed target.
-
3
Pure Deduction
Every standard Cagely puzzle has one solution. Use notes, the built-in calculator, and optional highlights for duplicate digits or incorrect cage math until only one placement remains.
Support & FAQ
Short answers on Calcudoku, difficulty, hints, and how to reach us.
What is Calcudoku (Mathdoku)?
Calcudoku, also called Mathdoku, is a cage math logic puzzle. You fill a grid so each row and column uses every digit once, and the numbers inside each outlined cage reach a printed target with addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division. Cagely is that puzzle: an arithmetic logic grid you can play offline.
How do difficulty levels work?
Difficulty follows the grid size. 3×3 and 4×4 are easier, 5×5 is the everyday middle ground, and 6×6 and 7×7 are the harder boards. Daily Challenge starts smaller in the first few days so new players can settle in.
How do hints work?
Free players get 1 hint by default, as shown in the app. Cagely Premium unlocks unlimited hints, plus extra themes and a revive after a failed game.
