Welcome to Orange Calendar (Android package name: com.orangestudio.calendar, the “App” or “we”). Please read this Privacy Policy before you use the App. By downloading, installing, or continuing to use the App, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to this Policy.

Summary: Orange Calendar is a calendar and almanac tool. Birthdays, anniversaries, countdowns, menstrual-cycle records, and reminders stay on your device by default and are not uploaded to our servers. To show app-open ads, measure basic usage, and process the Premium purchase, we use Google services. Those services may process device identifiers, IP addresses, and similar technical data. You can export birthdays, anniversaries, and countdowns to an encrypted backup file that you keep yourself.

1. Who handles this information

2. What this Policy covers

This Policy covers features inside the App, including home-screen widgets, local reminders, in-app backup files, in-app purchases, and viewing this Policy in the App.

The App downloads this page and public holiday-calendar files from our website. Those requests do not include the personal entries you type.

Google Play, Google ads, and Firebase process data under their own policies. This Policy does not replace those policies.

3. Information we collect and use

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the App, or a legal obligation.

3.1 Information you enter (stored on the device only)

The following stays in the local database or app settings. We do not send it to our servers:

Purpose: show the calendar and almanac, calculate countdowns, send local notifications, render widgets, and keep your settings.

Menstrual-cycle information is health-related. It is used only for on-device calculation and display. It is not used for advertising, and it is not included in the backup file described in Section 3.2. It leaves the device only if you share it yourself or if your device’s own backup includes it.

3.2 Backup files you choose to export

In Settings you can export birthdays, anniversaries, and countdowns — including names and notes — to an encrypted backup file, save it where you choose, and restore from that file later. We do not receive the file and do not upload it to our servers.

The file is not plain text. The key is built into the App so you can restore on another device without setting a separate password. Keep the file yourself. This is not a substitute for a device lock screen. Someone who has the file and can analyze the App may be able to decrypt it.

If Android backup is turned on, the operating system may include App data in an encrypted backup managed by your device or by Google. That is not a cloud backup we operate.

3.3 Technical information processed automatically

3.4 Information we do not collect

The App does not request precise or coarse location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone, SMS, or call logs for its features.

We do not knowingly collect government ID numbers or payment-card numbers. We receive your email address and message only if you write to us.

6. Third-party services

The services below may process data as independent controllers, including on servers outside your country or region:

ServiceProviderPurposeTypical dataPolicy
Google Mobile Ads SDK Google LLC App-open ads Device or ad IDs, IP address, ad interactions policies.google.com/privacy
User Messaging Platform (UMP) Google LLC Ad consent where required Consent status, device information policies.google.com/privacy

Google Play Billing Google LLC Premium purchases Order and account-related transaction data policies.google.com/privacy

Our own servers are used only to host this Policy and public holiday files. We do not sell your personal information. We do not provide it to others except as described above, when the law requires it, or when it is necessary to protect users or the public.

7. How long we keep it, and how we protect it

No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Use a device lock screen, and keep exported backup files in a place you control.

8. Transfers across borders

When Google services are used, information may be processed outside your country or region, including in the United States and other places where Google or its partners operate. This page and the holiday files are hosted on our website. Those transfers are subject to the relevant service’s policy and to applicable law.

9. Your choices

Depending on the law where you live — including Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act and, where they apply, other data-protection rules — you may:

9.1 How to delete data

  1. Delete in the App: remove individual birthdays, anniversaries, countdowns, or menstrual records.
  2. Delete the backup file: remove the encrypted file you saved on the device or in a drive.
  3. Uninstall the App: this removes local App data. A copy may remain in system backup and must be removed in those settings.
  4. Email us: write to orangepie2019@gmail.com with the subject “Orange Calendar – Data Deletion”. We will explain how to delete local data. After we verify the request, we generally reply within 15 business days. Data held by Google for ads, analytics, or purchases has to be managed in your Google account or device settings. We cannot delete it for you.

9.2 Turn off personalized ads

  1. Open system Settings
  2. Go to Google → Ads
  3. Turn on “Opt out of Ads Personalization” (the wording varies by device)

You may still see ads that are not personalized. Resetting or deleting your advertising ID can also limit personalization.

9.3 Ad consent in the EEA, UK, Switzerland, and similar regions

Where the law requires it, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for and store your ad choices before showing personalized ads.

9.4 Contact

Email orangepie2019@gmail.com with the subject “Orange Calendar – Privacy”. After we verify the request, we generally reply within 15 business days.

10. Children

The App is not directed to children under 14, or under a higher age if your local law requires one. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child provided information without consent, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy and change the date at the top. If you keep using the App after an update, you accept the updated Policy.

12. Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws that apply to the data controller, without limiting consumer-protection or data-protection rights that must apply where you live.
